Abstract:Cyclic dipeptides are produced by organisms in all domains of life. Many possess biological activities as anticancer and antimicrobial compounds. Oxidations are frequently present in these biologically active peptides. C-C bond oxidation is catalysed by tailoring enzymes, including cyclodipeptide oxidases.
