“…This is an important finding given the multitude of authors who also mention moisturizing as a potential treatment regimen for brittle nails. 2,7,8,12,13 In addition, this finding may suggest that people who have brittle nails also tend to have dry skin, which may also imply that people with brittle nails attempt to self-treat their hands and nails with moisturizers more frequently. Professional manicures were associated with brittle nails.…”
