British Counterinsurgency in Malaya: Population Control, Intelligence and Military Operations

Abstract: Great Britain scored a military victory in the colonial campaign it fought in Malaya from 1948 to 1960. At the end this conflict its army controlled the disputed territory, having systematically defeated, rooted out and forced their enemies into hiding or across international borders 1 .
