As for the diagnosis of ASD, reported in Table 2 , six studies did not specify the degree of severity of the disorder [ 22 , 23 , 25 , 26 , 28 , 30 ], one included only participants with associated ID [ 29 ] and five limited the sample to children with high-functioning autism (IQ ≥ 70) [ 20 , 21 , 24 , 27 , 31 ].
