Breeding of WhangBoJama Sex-Limited Yellow Silk Silkworm Variety Suitable for Spring Rearing Season

Abstract: A new silkworm variety "DaeBakJam" for spring rearing season is F 1 hybrid between Jam155, a japanese race bred from introduction breeding and Jam156, a chinese race from introduction breeding. In the local adaptability test performed at 8 local areas in spring of 2010, the hatchability rate of DaeBakJam was recorded 96% similar to Dae-PoongJam.
