“…Although the Brazilian breast implant market is the second largest in the world, with several manufacturers and the almost exclusive use of textured implants, the occurrence of BIA‐ALCL in Brazil is underreported (Groth & Graf, 2020). After a first positive case evaluated by flow cytometry (De‐Azambuja et al, 2020), our group performed a sequential evaluation of 105 Brazilian patients with 117 breast periprosthetic fluid (PF) samples between March/2018 and March/2021. The purpose of this study is to describe a series of nine patients with confirmed BIA‐ALCL, highlighting the utility of a combination of CD30/FSC with HLA‐DR/CD25 marker in the differential diagnosis, and to describe the cytomorphologic and immunophenotypic characteristics of negative cases.…”
