Breaking Good: Fracture Modes for Realtime Destruction

Abstract: Fig. 1. Drawing an analogy with the well-studied vibration modes, we define a shape's fracture modes, which we can precompute for realtime applications.Drawing a direct analogy with the well-studied vibration or elastic modes, we introduce an object's fracture modes, which constitute its preferred or most natural ways of breaking.
