Abstract

Botulinum toxin is a well-known potent neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum with the ability of blocking the release of some neurotransmitters, especially acetylcholine by deactivating SNARE proteins. BTX-A and BTX-B are two commercially available isoforms used for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes in numerous fields of medicine including dermatology.Flushing is a cutaneous symptom, defined as sudden attacks of erythema on the skin of some specific parts of body, mainly face and neck, with a heat or burning sensation of the area. 1This common cutaneous symptom, especially among the fair skin, 2 could have a variety of causes including fever, acne rosacea, menopause, food-or drug-induced vasodilation and emotional stress. 2 Sciences (RUMS),
