Bottomonium spectrum in the relativistic flux tube model

Abstract: The bottomonium spectrum is far from being established. The structures of higher vector states, including the Υ(10580), Υ(10860), and Υ(11020) states, are still in dispute. In addition, whether the Υ(10750) signal which was recently observed by the Belle Collaboration is a normal bb state or not should be examined. Faced with such situation, we carried out a systematic investigation of the bottomonium spectrum in the scheme of the relativistic flux tube (RFT) model. A Chew-Frautschi like formula was derived an… Show more

“…Fresh study of these two states was conducted at BELL in 2019 by [18], the calculated masses found are 10885.3 ± 1.5 +2.2 −0.9 and 11000.0 +4.0 Ref. [19,23] suggest Υ(10860) as 5 3 S 1 bottomonium state, while [24] and [25] suggests it as an admixture of 5 3 S 1 and 6 3 D 1 , and 5 3 S 1 and 5 3 D 1 states. Υ (11020) has been suggested as an admixture of 6 3 S 1 and 5 3 D 1 by [25,24], also it has been well reproduced by other potential models that take into account coupled channel effects [26].…”

“…This new state, called Υ(10753) in PDG [10], can't be easily explained as a conventional bottomonium state as all the calculations of the mass spectrum of bottomonium family don't fit with its mass. Many different explanations of the Υ(10753) were given, both conventional [12][13][14][15] and exotic [16][17][18][19].…”
