Bottom-charmed meson spectrum from a QCD approach based on the Tamm-Dancoff approximation

Abstract: The bottom-charmed meson spectrum is studied via an effective version of the Coulomb gauge QCD Hamiltonian. The Tamm-Dancoff approximation is employed to estimate the energies of the low-lying and radial-excited B c states with quantum numbers J P ¼ 0 − ; 0 þ ; 1 − ; 1 þ ; 2 þ ; 2 −. In particular, we analyze the effects of incorporating an effective transverse hyperfine interaction and spin mixing. The Regge trajectories and hyperfine splitting of both Sand P-wave states are also examined. The numerical resul… Show more

“…We can see from Eqs. ( 10), ( 23) and ( 55) that the masses of the constituents come into the slope β ′ as the linear formula ( 53) is employed to fit the nonlinear Regge trajectory (54) for the mesons consisting of the massive constituents. As shown in Tables V and VI, the slopes of the fitted linear Regge trajectories are almost a constant for the light mesons.…”
