“…Since lipase is one of Botrytis cinerea's extracellular secretions, and B. cinerea could degrade wax (Jiang, Liu, Fang, Wu, et al, 2022), lipase may have a similar effect, which could down-regulate expression of wax biosynthesis and transport-related genes. PAL, CHI, DFR, UFGT, β-GAL, PPO, and POD are pivotal enzymes in both the biosynthesis and degradation pathways of anthocyanin (Liu et al, 2018b(Liu et al, , 2021Zorenc et al, 2017).…”

“…SEM was used to observe the morphological structure of blueberries by Jiang, Liu, Fang, Wu, et al (2022). Fruits without mechanical damage or cuticular damage were selected, and each section (1 cm in length, 1 cm in width, and 1 mm in depth) was cut with a blade at the equatorial part of the fruit and placed on a slide.…”

“…However, blueberries have a limited shelf life of 3–7 days at room temperature, resulting in rapid deterioration and short retail distance ( 7 , 8 ). Furthermore, blueberries with thin skin and higher flesh content are at increased risk of microbial infection ( 9 ). For these reasons, commercial harvest enterprises can incur serious losses from spoilage following a typical summer harvest.…”

“…Plant diseases are one of the important problems facing crop protection at present, and the several typical plant pathogens belonging to oomycetes, ascomycete, deuteromycetes, and basidiomycetes are the main source of crop infections. Among many plant diseases, gray mold is a serious fungal disease that harms solanaceous vegetables, melon vegetables, leek, lettuce, and so on, especially under the condition of facilities, which is always caused by Botrytis cinerea of fruits and vegetables and occurs in most countries in the world. This pathogen has a wide host range and fast reproduction and mainly damages the leaves, flower heads, and fruits (stalks), which can reduce the yield by about 40% in serious cases. So, in order to control this disease, different fungicides have been developed and used, however, continuous use of the fungicides is easy to produce resistance. Conventional chemical fungicides, such as Iprodione, pyrimethanil, and procymidone, have developed significant resistance to varying degrees. Moreover, there was a positive cross resistance between iprodione and procymidone.…”
