Boron–Nitrogen CompoundsBased in part on the article Boron–Nitrogen Compounds by Robert T. Paine which appeared in theEncyclopedia of Inorganic Chemistry, First Edition.

Abstract: The majority of this article details the many synthetic routes and compounds that can be accessed in combinations of boron reagents with amines. Lewis acid‐base adducts are the simplest type of compounds, and lead into the more complex aminoboranes and iminoboranes. Owing to their widespread importance and usage, the borazines, pyrazaboles, and polypyrazaolyborates are covered in separate sections. The newly emerging fields of boron–nitrogen cations and boron nitride solid‐state materials are covered in detail. Show more
