Boosting Photovoltaic Performance of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Using Silver Nanoparticle-Decorated N,S-Co-Doped-TiO2 Photoanode

Abstract: A silver nanoparticle-decorated N,S-co-doped TiO2 nanocomposite was successfully prepared and used as an efficient photoanode in high-performance dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) with N719 dye. The DSSCs assembled with the N,S-TiO2@Ag-modified photoanode demonstrated an enhanced solar-to-electrical energy conversion efficiency of 8.22%, which was better than that of a DSSC photoanode composed of unmodified TiO2 (2.57%) under full sunlight illumination (100 mWcm−2, AM 1.5 G). This enhanced efficiency was main… Show more

“…The high frequency and a smaller peak phase from bode plot represents the low charge transfer resistance and the low frequency and higher peak phase of the device represents the high charge‐transfer resistance. The maximum phase obtained for RGO/NMP based device is 3.8° and frequency of 5159.2 Hz (Table ) . The phase value obtained for RGO/nafion based device is 18.4° and frequency of 677.8 Hz was obtained (Table ).…”

“…For pure PPy, the characteristic bands at 1351 and 1570 cm 21 are obtained because of the ring stretching mode and the C5C backbone stretching of PPy, respectively. 43,44 The Gr-PPy composite showed two Raman peaks at 1564 and 1341 cm 21 . 43,44 The Gr-PPy composite showed two Raman peaks at 1564 and 1341 cm 21 .…”
