the material preconditions for socialism are not sufficiently developed, all attempts to explode the existing capitalist structure amount to no more than 'Don Quixotism' (pp. 106, 129). Outlining the basic features of the new (socialist or communist) society, the author also stresses the conditions for transparent and dealienated social relations and the potential for the development of reach individuality (pp. 97, 136-139).This new book will undoubtedly be of valuable help for a great number of social activists and researchers as it addresses many theoretical problems and misunderstandings bothering many people. So, it will hopefully meet with a wide readership and will most likely inspire and encourage an active involvement and a belief that another free, dealienated, and sustainable world, beyond the barbarity of present day capitalism, may become possible!
