Bone Mineral Density and Osteoporosis Risk in Older Patients With Schizophrenia

Abstract: Our results emphasize that older patients with schizophrenia are at risk for low bone density. Cigarette smoking and alcohol abuse are associated with low bone density in patients with schizophrenia.
