Bone metastases and hypercalcaemia from cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma

Abstract: DESCRIPTIONAn 83-year-old man presented with hypercalcaemia (12.5 mg/dL, reference range 8-10.7 mg/dL) and acute renal failure. On physical examination, the patient was found to have a solid mass behind his left ear ( figure 1A). Histopathological examination disclosed squamous cell carcinoma with areas of necrosis.
