Boardroom gender diversity and CEO pay deviation: Australian evidence

Abstract: We study whether boardroom gender diversity affects CEO pay. Specifically, we investigate the association between boardroom gender diversity and CEO pay deviation from the optimal level of CEO pay based on firm characteristics and market performance.
