Blue upconversion luminescence of CaMoO4:Li+/Yb3+/Tm3+ phosphors prepared by complex citrate method

Abstract: Li + /Tm 3+ /Yb 3+ co-doped CaMoO 4 upconversion (UC) phosphor was prepared by complex citrate-gel method and UC luminescence properties were investigated. Li + /Tm 3+ /Yb 3+ co-doped CaMoO 4 has intense blue emission induced by 1 G 4 → 3 H 6 transition at 476 nm that is improved 10 times more than that of Li + undoped sample and weak red emission at 647 nm generated by 3 F 2 → 3 H 6 transition under excitation at 980 nm. The optimum doping concentration of Li + ions was investigated and UC mechanism of Li + /… Show more

“…reported 25‐ and 60‐fold enhancements in the respective green and violet emission of Y 2 O 3 :Yb/Er nanophosphors through lithium doping 8. The versatility of the lithium‐doping approach for enhanced upconversion luminescence was later validated by a number of research groups in other oxide host matrices, including TiO 2 ,9 BaTiO 3 ,10 ZrO 2 ,11 ZnO,12 ZnWO 4 ,13 Y 3 Al 5 O 12 ,14 CaMoO 4 ,15 and GdVO 4. 16…”

“…Figure S1d,e shows the PLE and PL spectra, respectively, of the NGT: x %Tm 3+ ( x = 1, 2, 3, 5, 7) phosphors. One strong blue-emission peak at 459 nm due to the 1 D 2 → 3 F 4 transition is obvious [ 32 ]. The emission intensity increases with increasing Tm 3+ doping amount from 1%, reaches a maximum at 3% ( Figure S1f ), and then begins to decrease because of concentration quenching.…”
