Blood fibrinogen levels discriminate low- and high risk intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs)

Abstract: antibiotic classes were present in 24,6 % (247/1004). Among patients with bacteribilia with resistant microorganisms the rate of wound infections was 12,6 % (31/247), vs. 4,5 % (34/ 757) among the other patients (p 0.001). Conclusion: Today pancreatic surgeons must be aware, that more than 50 % of patients who undergo surgery for periampullary lesions have infected bile.
