Blockchain-enabled fog resource access and granting

Abstract: Fog computing is a new computing paradigm for meeting ubiquitous massive access and latency-critical applications by moving the processing capability closer to end users. The geographical distribution/floating features with potential autonomy requirements introduce new challenges to the traditional methodology of network access control. In this paper, a blockchain-enabled fog resource access and granting solution is proposed to tackle the unique requirements brought by fog computing. The smart contract concept… Show more

“…And how to secure sensitive user information during recommendations is another research direction in our future study. At last, network structure [50][51][52][53] and routine selection [54][55][56][57] are two main components that form a typical social network and influence the performance of short video recommendation network. Therefore, we will continue to refine our work by introducing more social network elements in the future; this way, cold start issues in short video recommendations would be alleviated.…”

“…German power company Rheinland Group and Slock.it have developed the "Share&Charge" blockchain platform on which drivers can handle clean energy vehicle-related operations, including allowing drivers to share their charging stations, pay tolls and charging an electric car. The platform relies on Ethereum to operate, especially the smart contract and distributed ledger technology supported by Ethereum, Giraldo et al realized the transparency and trust of billing [15,16]. Specifically, it is to create a token on the blockchain and distribute the mobile value denominated in euros on the token.…”

“…As is evident from the above figure, the key attribute of the model has been categorized in line with the three perspectives under examination, notably (i) Blockchain encompasses 6 attributes, namely access control [15][16][17][18], accuracy [4][5][6][7], availability [17,18], immutability [45,46], interoperability [70][71][72], and tamper proofing [11][12][13][14]. (ii) Training provider encompasses 5 attributes, namely confidentiality [5][6][7][8], data integrity [33,34], effectiveness [47,48], privacy, and security [5][6][7].…”

“…During the past ten years, blockchain technology has emerged, garnering a great deal of interest in both educational [6] and training arenas [15], with the majority of employers utilising external training entities to deliver training for lower-level staff [45]. ere are two key types of training entities [7], namely independent providers and further education colleges, both of which could fall into voluntary [16], private, or public sectors [46].…”
