Blockchain-Based Wireless Sensor Networks for Malicious Node Detection: A Survey

Abstract: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are broadly applied for various applications in tracking and surveillance due to their ease of use and other distinctive characteristics compelled by real-time cooperation among the sensor nodes. In WSNs, security is becoming a critical issue, as the techniques for malicious node detection adopt a one-time, centralized decision-making approach. With this paradigm, errors are difficult to avoid, and reproducibility and traceability are challenging. Hence, malicious node discovery… Show more

“…Many researchers have investigated blockchain and smart contracts, as well as their numerous uses in industry, health, and education [17]. The characteristics it possesses in terms of security [18][19][20], privacy, traceability, and autonomy, without the interference of third parties, make it a crucial technology in the field of information and communication.…”

“…Both the buyer and the smart governance must acknowledge the management in the chain (lines 11-22) by signing the associated blockchain transaction. When both firms have been registered, the property lot size is reduced and the association between the Buyer Hash (BI) and the property lot is registered (lines [19][20]. Any buyer who has received their place to live can record their feedback and prioritize buyers who were unable to purchase the home.…”

“…In the past few years, many researchers have suggested methods that contribute to improving the security behavior of authentication schemes with a high level of implementing time. There are several major exchange schemes using hard cryptography issues are distinguished by high computation requirements and identity loss [10], [11]. Furthermore, some schemes suffer from resisting familiar malicious attacks such as insider and replay.…”
