Blockchain-based multi-skill mobile crowdsourcing services

Abstract: With the boom in 5G technology, mobile spatial crowdsourcing has shown great dynamism in industrial mobile communications and edge computing node management. But the traditional crowdsourcing system is not advanced enough to adapt to the new environment. Typically, traditional crowdsourcing workflow is hosted by a centralized crowdsourcing platform. However, the centralized crowdsourcing platform faces the following problems: (1) single point of failure, (2) user privacy leakage, (3) subjective arbitration, (4… Show more

“…According to Xu et al (2022), we involve workers with skills intersecting with the task requirements in the candidate review team. The final review team is selected from the candidate review team using the last two digits of the hexadecimal representation of the hashed taskID , ensuring diversity and fluidity in the composition of the review team.…”

“…However, some mobile spatial crowdsourcing tasks can be quite complex, requiring skilled workers with specific expertise. Multiskill mobile crowdsourcing (Xu et al , 2022) addresses these complex mobile spatial crowdsourcing scenarios, making it more aligned with people’s daily lives. Current crowdsourcing processes are typically managed by centralized crowdsourcing platforms.…”

“…Recently, a work was presented by Weize Xu et al [59] discussing a decentralized crowdsourcing system and a task assignment algorithm used to address the issues of task allocation. The authors offer a blockchain-based solution to address the problems with traditional, centralized crowdsourcing platforms, such as user privacy leaks and extra service charges, for multi-skill mobile crowdsourcing assignments.…”

“…However, this scheme requires storing copyright information on a centralized server or in the cloud, posing risks of a single point of failure or malicious attacks. Blockchain [3], with its decentralized, traceable, and reliable characteristics, has found widespread applications in various domains such as crowdsourcing [4] and finance [5]. Researchers have also proposed several blockchain-based copyright protection solutions.…”
