At present, a role is suggested for the 5-HT 2 R family in cortical LTP (Edagawa, et al, 2000; Inaba, et al, 2009) and in the acquisition, consolidation and retrieval of learned behaviors, especially in those engendered in simple memory models (e.g., autoshaping tasks) (Meneses, 2007; Prado-Alcala, et al, 2003).
