Blind Camcording-Resistant Video Watermarking in the DTCWT and SVD Domain

Abstract: Video watermarking techniques can be used to prevent unauthorized users from illegally distributing videos across (social) media networks. However, current watermarking solutions are unable to embed a perceptually invisible watermark which is robust to the distortions introduced by camcording. These watermark-disrupting distortions include lossy compression, the addition of noise, frame-rate conversion and geometric distortions. In this paper, a novel video watermarking technique is proposed that is blind and … Show more

“…Bose et al [ 47 ] introduced a multi-thread medical video watermarking method based on DWT to reduce consumption time during the watermarking process. Many authors have benefited from the advantages of hybrid domains [ [48] , [49] , [50] ]. From the literature review, we noticed that the most prevalent restriction of these schemes is in the sophisticated equipoise between major watermarking facets, which are represented in robustness, imperceptibility, and payload capacity.…”

“…The authors of [26] propose an approach that uses the integration of the dual-tree complex wavelet transform and singular value decomposition to achieve robustness against geometric attacks. The algorithm is resistant to timing attacks, such as frame rate conversion and video shooting.…”

“…Digital watermarking has been widely employed for a number of purposes, such as playback control, copyright preservation, and the tracking of online pirates [30].Watermarking is an important technique for protecting sensitive e multimedia data and intellectual property. Watermarking techniques are used for many applications such as ownership protection, which is a popular area of research as compared to others such as authentication and local temper localization.Singular-value decomposition (SVD) is one of them and is used in many frequency transform-based image watermarking schemes due to its stability and mathematical simplicity [31].Applications of image processing that use SVD include picture compression, image concealing, and noise reduction.…”
