Abstract:Bladder perforation is a rare complication in patients with ventriculoperitoneal shunt (VPS). In the literature there are reported a total of 27 cases with diverse clinical manifestations. We describe a case of a patient with bladder perforation and urethral exteriorization of a VPS catheter, with a thorough review of the literature to know how to deal with this complication.
