Blackened calcium‐based composite particles and their apparent kinetics features for solar thermochemical energy storage

Abstract: The calcium looping (CaL) thermochemical thermal energy storage is one of the best high-temperature heat storage schemes for 3th concentrating solar power (CSP) photothermal power. However, the application of this technology is greatly hindered by the low solar absorption capability and the poor cyclic stability of CaCO 3 /CaObased material. In this article, the solar absorbing capability of CaCO 3 particles is enhanced by doping Mn-Fe oxides, meanwhile, awns of setaria faberis (ASF) and microcrystalline cellu… Show more

“…Thermal energy is the most abundant energy source and forms the backbone of industrial applications, accounting for 60%-70% of energy consumption in many countries. 1 In the chemical production process, the generation and consumption of heat energy are not synchronized, resulting in a large amount of energy consumption and environmental damage. Effective thermal energy management can unify energy distribution in combination with production processes to optimize production and optimize energy consumption.…”

“…19 Teng et al improved the spectral absorption by doping with multiple inert carriers (Fe–Mn), and the energy storage density was 1057 kJ kg −1 after 15 cycles. 20 Sun et al also used binary inert carrier doping to modify dolomite, making its spectral absorption rate reach 73.22% and energy density 770 kJ kg −1 after 30 cycles. 21 Our previous work also screened and proved these inert carriers.…”
