Black Lake of the Zelengora Mountain – Sustainability Problems

Abstract

The paper presents results of a study on physical, chemical and some biological parameters of water quality of Black Lake in order to estimate the state and degree of eutrophication. It is the shallow lake margin covered in macrophyte vegetation that largely contributes eutrophication. The sampling was conducted at two locations on water surface and immediately above the lake bottom, as well as at the most abundant water spring located next to the lake and at the lake distributary. The study was carried out in line with the relevant procedures in August 2015. Results of the physical and chemical analyses indicated high water quality. Microbiological parameters of water quality showed that there was no continuous contact between the lake and fecal substance but the number of aerobic psychrophilic and mesophilic heterotrophic bacteria suggested that there was organic substance in the water. Values of saprobic indices indicated transition state between oligosaprobic and þ-mesosaprobic water.

In fact, the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the lake water corresponded to Class I of surface water quality, whereas the water of the distributary, based on the value of this parameter, corresponded to Class II (Dekić, Lolić, Gnjato, Gnjato, & Stanojević, 2016).…”

Узорковање је извршено употребом стерилних стаклених бочица запремине 500 ml у асептичним условима, из слоја 10−15 cm испод површине, као и из слоја 30−50 cm изнад дна језера.…”

“…Generally, this is a very small number of taxa, even compared to the other lakes of this type at the Zelengora Mountain. In the water of Black Lake, 32 different phytoplankton taxa were identified (Dekić et al, 2016). In the water of Gornje Bare Lake, a total of 24 phytoplankton taxa were identified, whereas in the waters of the Donje Bare Lake there were a total of 26 phytoplankton taxa (Gnjato, Dekić, Trbić, Lolić, Gnjato, & Popov, 2018).…”

“…Генерално, ради се о веома малом броју таксона, чак и у односу на остала ледничка језера на Зеленгори. У води Црног језера идентификована су 32 различита таксона фитопланктона (Dekić et al, 2016). У води језера Горње Баре идентификовано је укупно 24, а у води језера Доње Баре укупно 26 таксона фитопланктона (Gnjato, Dekić, Trbić, Lolić, Gnjato, & Popov, 2018), при чему нити у једном од њих нису идентификоване Asterиonella и Ceratиum, које доминирају у води Котланичког језера.…”
