“…[3] The current knowledge of the dynamics of the thermal and salinity structure of the Dead Sea has been achieved primarily from measured vertical profiles of temperatures, salinity, and density (from the surface to the bottom) collected over the past 50 years [Anati, 1997;Beyth et al, 1993;Gavrieli and Oren, 2004;Gertman and Hecht, 2002;Hecht and Gertman, 2003;Ivanov et al, 2002;Neev and Emery, 1967;Stanhill, 1990;Steinhorn and Gat, 1983].
