Bit slice devices for signal processing

Abstract

The paper describes how bit-slice devices may be used in the implementation of a digital signal processor. It also discusses criteria which should be considered when optimizing such a processor, and suggests how futuru bit slice devices might be developed that are better suited to signal processing.
