Birth of the blues: emotional sound processing in infants exposed to prenatal maternal depression

Abstract: Background Offspring exposed to prenatal maternal depression (PMD) are vulnerable to depression across their lifespan. The underlying cause(s) for this elevated intergenerational risk is most likely complex.
