Birefringent Polarization Ray Tracing

Abstract: The fundamental tool used for design and analysis of optical systems is geometric ray tracing. In isotropic, homogeneous, non-optically active media the procedure is simple -- rays travel in straight lines except at interfaces, where reflection and refraction occur.
