Biomimetic Protamine-Templated Silicification

Abstract: Protamine, a small cationic peptide, can act as a biocatalyst and a template for biomimetic silicification, which opens a new and environmentally benign synthetic approach to synthesis of silica and other kinds of inorganic materials.
