Abstract:Introduction: Endarterectomy of the internal carotid artery (CEA) is a surgical procedure used to prevent cerebral ischemic stroke. Available data from previous literature indicates that CEA may lead to complications in the form of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion syndrome and oxidative stress.
