Biological nanoparticles and platelet activation

Abstract: Self‐replicating, self‐calcifying nanosized particles (NPs) can be isolated from mammalian blood and calcified human tissue. Intravenous injection of these biologic NPs into rabbits accelerates occlusion of endothelium‐denuded carotid arteries.
