This research includes synthesis and characterization of some homogeneous binuclear complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), and Pd(II) with mixed ligands of thiuram, uracil thiuram disulfur or thymine thiuram disulfur, and cyclic amines. The formed complexes have the general formula of [M2(L)1(amin)2] where L = (thymine thiuram disulfur), (uracil thiuram disulfur) = (T‐TDS), (U‐TDS), amin = (1,10‐Phen.) (2,2′‐BiPy.), and M = Co(II), Ni(II), Pd(II). The synthesized complexes are characterized using the micro‐elemental analysis (C.H.N.S), electrical molar conductivity, magnetic sensitivity, and spectra methods (UV–Vis, IR and 1H NMR, 13C‐{1H}NMR). Antibacterial activity of ligands and complexes is evaluated with two types of bacteria Staphylococcus aurous (gram‐positive) and Escherichia coli (gram‐negative). According to the results obtained from physical and spectroscopic measurements, the complexes of cobalt(II) and nickel(II) have tetrahedral geometry and the palladium(II) complexes are square planar.

In this study, new Imidazolidin-4-one [A1-A5] compounds were prepared by the reaction of schiff base compounds with alanine in ethanol. The prepared compounds were characterized by physical properties, UV-Vis, FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectral and C.H.N analysis. TLC checked the purity for these compounds. All compounds [A1-A5] were prepared by the traditional method (reflux) and microwave technology. It was found that using the microwave method gives better results in terms of less time and, higher yield. Antibacterial behaviors were investigated against a variety of bacteria, including Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumonia Gram (-) ve, Staphylococcus aureus, and Staphylococcus epidermidis Gram (+) ve. The laser efficacy of the compounds [A1-A5] was evaluated after they were radiated by laser for (10, 20, 30) seconds. As the melting point and color of the substances were determined, it was discovered that they were unaffected and did not disintegrate or polymerize. Using the Chem Draw Specialist 19.0 program, the stereoisomers of the prepared compounds [A1-A5] were examined at the lowest layer stage. Using the Chem3D 19.0 program, the heat of the formulation of the compounds [A1-A5] was also investigated.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of natural sisal fibers on mechanical properties of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). Materials and Method: In total, 90 specimens are prepared to be used in the study. The specimens are divided into three main groups, 30 specimens of heat cure PMMA without additives (control) and experimental groups of 60 specimens of heat cure PMMA with salinized sisal fibers with two different weight percentages (5% and 10%) wt. Three point bending test is performed to evaluate the flexural strength of the specimens, while the impact strength is done by impact testing Charpy's machine and tensile test is performed according to ASTM D‐638. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) test is used for statistical analysis. Results: Impact test results indicate a highly significant in the reinforced specimens when compare with control specimens. Tensile strength significantly increases after reinforcement with fibers. Nonsignificant difference is detected in flexural strength among the reinforced groups and control group. Conclusion: Reinforcement of the heat cured acrylic resin with natural sisal fibers significantly increases its impact strength and tensile strength with nonsignificant in flexural strength.
