Abstract:Iron sulfide nanoparticles (e.g., FeS NPs), which are ubiquitous in sulfate (SO42−)-rich anaerobic environments, can act as an electrical wire for long-distance extracellular electron transfer (EET) and bridge spatially discrete redox environments.
