Biodegradable polymeric nanocarriers for oral delivery of antiretroviral drug: Pharmacokinetic and in vitro permeability studies

Abstract: The current work aimed to formulate Darunavir (DRV) loaded poly (ɛ-caprolactone) nanoparticles (NPs) to address the issue of low bioavailability. NPs were formulated by employing D-α Tocopherol Polyethylene Glycol Succinate 1,000 (TPGS) as stabilizer using the solvent emulsification-evaporation technique. The optimized batch had a mean particle size of 173.74 ± 8.01 nm with polydispersity index 0.218 ± 0.01.
