Biocompatible green synthesized silver nanoparticles impact on insecticides resistant developing enzymes of dengue transmitted mosquito vector

Abstract: The growing interest in nanomaterial-based products in various fields urged to study the influence of different nanoproducts on the ecosystem and on various insect pests. In this study, we evaluated insecticides resistant influenced important biochemical constituents of A. aegypti upon the exposure of green synthesized A. reticulata silver nanoparticle (Ar-AgNPs) for 24 h at their lethal threshold concentration. The AgNPs exposed and control mosquito larval homogenates of the protein content, acetylcholinester… Show more

“…The AChE levels in the UD-AgNPs were substantially greater than those in the other groups. AChE levels were found to be increased by green synthesized NPs and AChE inhibition in AgNO 3 -exposed organisms, which is consistent with earlier findings [ 74 , 75 ].…”

“…Moreover, protein has a main role in the insects during metamorphosis involving epidermal formation and synthesis of chitin, but when insects are exposed to the insecticide, protein level changes in the whole body can be triggered by down-regulation or up-regulation. 49,50 As summarized in Table 2, the level of acid phosphatase activity drastically decreased from 1041.61 of control larvae to 504.72 and 555.36 U g −1 upon exposure to MnCoO and MnCoO/CNTs, respectively. Additionally, the value of alkaline phosphatase declined from 2113.37 for control to 74.86 and 200.25 U g −1 in the 4th larval instar of C. pipiens treated with MnCoO and MnCoO/CNTs, respectively for an equal length of time.…”
