“…In order to ensure the grafting of relevant functional groups onto the MWCNTs after acidification and epoxidation, FT‐IR was used to detect any changes in the MWCNTs. As shown in Figure 3B, compared with the relatively flat infrared spectrum of pure MWCNTs (Figure 3C), more obvious absorption peaks appeared on the infrared curve of the MWCNTs after undergoing concentrated sulfuric acid oxidation treatment, such as the stretching vibration peak of OH at 3424 cm −1 , CO at 1740 cm −1 ,and COO at 1582 cm −1 17,25 . The appearance of these characteristic peaks indicated that the carboxyl group was grafted onto the MWCNTs' surface after acidification.…”

Figure 3A shows that the characteristic absorption peak of the epoxy group appeared at 908 cm −1 , suggesting that the outer wall of the MWCNTs has been grafted with epoxy groups after epoxidation.…”

“…The changing trend of mechanical properties canbe explained by the inherent chemical composition and cross-linking density. In the cured systems, the increase in the grafting number resulted in an increase in the functionality of their structure, which was conducive to the formation of high cross-linking density and helped to increase the rigidity of the cured films, thereby enhancing the mechanical properties of the cured films [39,40]. In addition, the characteristics of different vegetable oil-based UV-cured films were compared.…”

“…Thiol-epoxy curing based on renewable monomers like eugenol [70,71], phloroglucinol [72] or gallic acid [73] has also been recently reported. The thiol-epoxy reaction has been used in the preparation of polymer matrix in nanoclay [74] and boron nitride [75,76] composites.…”
