Previous research on peptide extraction from A. mellifera pupae indicated that the protein hydrolysate, generated through the Alcalase ® enzyme, comprised peptides with molecular weights ranging from 0.5 to 10 kDa, with a predominant range between 2 and 3 kDa [ 29 ].
