Bio-inspired branch structure seismic metamaterial: attenuating low-frequency Rayleigh waves

Abstract: This study investigates the transmission characteristics of natural forests with branches and introduces a bio-inspired branch structure seismic metamaterial designed to create bandgaps for low-frequency Rayleigh waves.
