Bio-informatics and in Vitro Experiments Reveal the Mechanism of Schisandrin A Against MDA-MB-231 cells

Abstract: Schisandrin A (SchA) has been reported to have good anti-cancer effects. However, its anticancer mechanism in breast cancer remains unknown. This study aimed to explore the mechanism of SchA in breast cancer treatment using bio-informatics analysis and in vitro experiments. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx), Gene Cards, and PharmMapper databases were used to screen the candidate targets of SchA against MDA-MB-231 cells selected as the tested cell line through MTT analysis. The f… Show more

“…For example, although no relationship between serine-type endopeptidase activity and cervical cancer has been reported, it has been shown to be involved in and affecting many cancers, such as pancreatic adenocarcinoma, 45 ovarian cancer, 46 and breast cancer. 47 Collectively, the identified glycoproteins are significant in biological processes and molecular functions related to cervical cancer growth and may be directly or indirectly linked to cancer evolution and advancement. The above results indicate that Fe 3 O 4 @COF@MOF-PS is certainly excellent at isolating and enriching N -glycopeptides from complex samples and has the potential for screening possible disease markers of cervical cancer.…”

“…We also used combined EdU and PI staining to verify that remimazolam promoted the proliferation and cell-cycle progression of HCT8 cells. Integrated bioinformatics analysis is a significant approach for identifying main genes and pathways involved in disease pathogenesis (21). Our analysis revealed a total of 1,096 DEGs following remimazolam treatment, of which 673 genes were downregulated and 423 genes were upregulated.…”

“…Network pharmacology is a promising approach to establishing ‘drug-target-disease’ network models by integrating system biology, bioinformatics and high-throughput screening technology [ 18 ]. Network pharmacology has been widely used for the mechanism research of natural products in different human diseases, including cancer [ 19 , 20 ]. In this study, we aimed to comprehensively elucidate the potential targets, biological processes, and molecular pathways of HHT to treat CRC by using the network pharmacology method.…”
