Binary Blends of Ethylene-α-olefin Elastomers for Improving the Balance between the Impact Strength and Individual Deformation and Strength Properties of Polypropylene Composites Produced by Reactive Extrusion

Abstract: The authors established and studied the synergistic effect of an increase in the impact strength and in individual physicomechanical characteristics of an elasticised polypropylene (PP) composite by using a binary combination of ethylene-α-olefin elastomers with contrasting Mooney viscosity values during reactive melt modification by the action of an organic peroxide and a coagent – trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA).
