Binaphthyl-incorporated π-conjugated polymer/gold nanoparticle hybrids: a facile size- and shape-tailored synthesis

Abstract: Size and shape of in situ synthesized polymer/gold nanocomposites were controlled by the solvents utilized and the molecular weights of the binaphthyl-incorporated π-conjugated polymers.

Because they contain large voids in the crystal structure, they were called porous coordination polymers or metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).…”

“…As fragmentation events proceed, the resulting fragmented nanofibers are shorter, with reduced aspect ratios and lower susceptibility to fracturing stresses . This previous study was performed exclusively on nanofibers composed of a single BCP block; the sonication behavior for multiblock or nanoparticle–nanofiber hybrid systems has been unexplored. …”

“…These particles and fibres can be used in a dry or wet/dispersed state. They also offer fascinating properties such as enhanced catalytic loading ability [11,12], surface-enhanced Raman scattering [13], improved electrochemical properties [14], and sensing ability [15].…”
