Abstract: The title compound FcCH(t-Bu)NHCH(Me)-CH 2 OMe´LiI´Et 2 O (1´LiI´Et 2 O) was obtained by reaction of FcCH(t-Bu)N(Li)CH(Me)CH 2 OMe with MeI in a molar ratio 1 : 1 in diethylether. The Li atom is substituted by an H atom yielding the secondary amine. The formation of the expected N-methyl substituted species could not be observed. 1 creates monomeric molecules with four coordi-nate Li atoms as a result of Li±N and Li±O interactions of the corresponding atoms of the ferrocenyl ligand and a solvent molecule. 1´Li… Show more
