Big data revealed relationship between air pollution and manufacturing industry in China

Abstract: Air pollution emissions can exceed the environmental self-purification capacity and trigger hazardous meteorological events, which have non negligible impacts on all aspects of society. The aim of this paper is to study the relationship between China's manufacturing industry benefits and air quality, taking into account the role of government policies in the era of big data, and to study the change points in the time series relationship between industry benefits and air quality. First, we apply and analyze big… Show more

“…Prior studies have made great progress on the concept of hazard. For example, a large body of literature took hazards as various negative social consequences caused by external emergencies where the hazard source is natural, objective, and external, and the "relational chain" between the hazard source and the social result is discontinuous, interrupted, and static [30][31][32][33]. From the sociological perspective, Kendra et al [34] defined a hazard as: "an event with time-space characteristics that causes threats and substantial losses to society or other branches of society, resulting in social structural disorder and interruption of the function of the basic survival support system of social members".…”

“…During the construction period, machines and mechanisms should be switched on to the main stationary sources of pollution at construction sites, which can be used depending on the construction technology used and the type of work (earth, installation, concrete, finishing, etc.). At the same time, according to the first Russian [11][12][13] and foreign [14][15] studies in various industries, the largest emission of harmful substances, as a rule, is produced in the atmospheric air.…”
