Abstract:In this paper, a bifurcation analysis of a recently proposed reduced order cardiac cell model is performed to obtain insights into the mechanisms of control of the sinoatrial node pacemaker activity. The objective is to improve the understanding of cardiac arrhythmias caused by abnormal automaticity. The bifurcation structure of the model is studied as a function of the maximal conductances of six sarcolemmal currents: the sodium, calcium, background calcium and potassium currents, the sodium potassium pump an… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
