Abstract:The construction of bridges has been necessary for societies since ancient times, when the communication between and within towns, cities or communities was established. Until recently, the economic factor has been the only one considered in the decision-making of any type of construction process for bridges. However, nowadays, the objective should not be just the construction of bridges, but of sustainable bridges. Economic, social and environmental factors, which form the three pillars of sustainability, have been recently added. These three factors usually have conflicting perspectives. The decision-making process allows the conversion of a judgment into a rational procedure to reach a compromise solution. The aim of this paper is to review different methods and sustainable criteria used for decision-making at each life-cycle phase of a bridge, from design to recycling or demolition. This paper examines 77 journal articles for which different methods have been used. The most used methods are briefly described. In addition, a statistical study was carried out on the Multiple Attribute Decision-making papers reviewed.

A combined two-staged analytical hierarchy process (AHP) was proposed with respect to its compatibility in selection of e-textile architecture. Specifically, it was examined in its ability to support decision in determination of appropriate e-textile structures prior to sensor integration. The e-textile structure selection methodology for sensor integration was implemented by interviewing with the experts from the fields of textiles and electronics; hence, it was constructed as two-staged methodology including both experimental study and AHP. In this respect, different e-textile structures including transmission lines containing 15 different conductive yarn types with three different weave types were manufactured via weaving technology in the first stage as experimental part of the methodology, and then, in the second stage, the alternatives based on experimental study were evaluated using AHP. The comparisons were made using priority scales assigned by expert team and synthesized to get aggregated global ratings. In conclusion, appropriate e-textile structures based on weaving manufacturing technology for sensor integration were chosen using AHP technique by ranking alternatives.

Abstract-In a renewable energy for buildings project, the owner needs the different contractors to complete it. In order to ensure the project's quality, we need a decision framework of renewable energy for buildings contractors selection. Currently, few research papers study contracting problems from the owners' perspectives, but from the contractors' about the renewable energy for buildings. Hence, This paper is first to summarize the influence factors of the renewable energy building contractors selection from the owners' perspectives, establish the basic conditions to screen the contractors and select the appropriate contractors from the aspects of business and technology. Then we use the Fuzzy AHP(Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process) to determine the relative weights of the evaluation criteria and IFS-TOPSIS (the Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) to rank the alternatives. Based on the aforementioned contents, the decision framework of renewable energy building contractors selection is established. The advantages of this decision framework have two: first, it can offer the contractors selection direction for the owners of renewable energy building; second, this decision framework can solve the information loss problem which will affect the reasonability and accuracy of the decision result. Finally, a China's case study proves this decision framework is effective.Index Terms-Bid system, evaluation bid, renewable energy for buildings, intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS), fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP), technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS).
