“…The study further examined the impact of different types of research collaboration on research impact. Bibliometrics has been widely applied to study, among other phenomena, research collaboration through co-authorship of publications (Shari et al, 2012). Three WoS citation indexes were used as sources of relevant data for the current study, which sought to assess trans-border research collaboration in selected countries in sub-Saharan Africa between 2000 and 2019.…”

“…The visualisation techniques have become increasingly visible in the bibliometrics literature (Onyancha, 2020). There are several studies that have applied social network analysis to articulate patterns formed in research collaboration (Wang et al, 2012;Wu and Duan, 2015;Bian et al, 2014;Shari et al, 2012;Kumar, 2015). The current study used the VOSviewer to obtain the characteristics of the collaboration networks formed by the countries partnering in research with the selected countries of study.…”

“…The rapid economic growth of ASEAN member states as the major emerging economies of Asia and their future contributions to the generation of knowledge and innovation in the region and worldwide likewise attracted interest in bibliometric studies in the region (e.g., Hassan et al 2012;Shari 2012;Moed and Halevi 2014;Kumar et al 2014). However, studies on plant biotechnology coperation within ASEAN nations and their global partners using bibliometric tools have not been published.…”

“…Considering that webometrics research method has a potency to collect a large number of data (Shari, Haddow, & Genoni, 2012), this research is limited to website on online mass media in Indonesia; there are only 140 websites and two attributes, namely number of webpages and website ranking. The category of online mass media consists of printed media, radio, and TV broadcast.…”
