Bias in the cross spectrum and time delay estimates due to misalignment

Abstract

The effect of misalignment in the weighted, overlapped segment averaging method used for estimating time delay is investigated. With nonwhite input, it is shown that the phase of the cross spectrum and the location of the peak in the cross correlator are biased.
